Industry (Production) Rentals Policies

24 Hour Approval Period

VBJ offers a 48 Hour Approval Period for fitting purposes only. Costumes used for any other purpose during the Approval Period will be charged as a Weekly Rental. Costumes returned within the 48 Approval Period are subject to a 20% restocking fee. When customer pulls their own order they must rent at least 50% of the order.

 

Rental Period

• Weekly Rental (8 calendar days) All rental items kept past the 8-day period will be automatically charged the Production Rental Rate.

• Production Rental (9 days to 8 weeks) The Production Rental Rate is full Production Rental Rate. (see your Rental Form for each items Production Rental Rate) All items kept past the initial 8-week period will be automatically charged 30% of Production Rental Rate per a week. All rates shall be set forth on the Rental Form.

 

Holds

No items may be placed on hold before your account has been set up and verified with our accounting department. Rentals may be placed on hold 8 days prior to pick up date and any hold item that is not rented will incur a 30% restocking fee. Rentals placed on hold after 8 days will incur a charge of 5% of the Production Rental Rate per week for each week.

 

Costumer/Associates Labor Fee

There is a $25.00 per hour labor fee required to have one of our in-house costumers send you picutres, pull your order, and/or do your fitting/pulling with you. There is a one hour minimum fee although depending on your needs your order may take more than one hour. This fee is charged whether you rent items with us or not.

 

Minimum Costume Rental

$100.00 plus labor and cleaning fees.

 

Payment Methods

All Rentals require a valid credit card on file and payment of a deposit as set forth in the Rental Form. All Rentals must be paid within thirty (30) days of the date of invoice. All unpaid amounts owed after such thirty (30) day period shall be subject to a service charge of 1.5% per month or, if less, the maximum rate allowed by law. Final invoices may be paid in cash, by approved company check, Visa, Mastercard or American Express. A $20.00 processing fee will be charged for any returned check. VBJ reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for any overdue invoices plus any applicable service charge.

Alterations

Alterations are never allowed without written permission from VBJ. Iron-on bonding web, glue, super stick or any other type of permanent adhesives may NOT be used. Failure to return Costumes in their original condition will incur damage or replacement charges.

Cleaning Fee

A cleaning fee equal to 15% of the rental amount total is charged on all rentals.

Restocking

All items pulled but not rented must be restocked at the time of the pull. There will be a 20% restock fee if not restocked properly.

Return Procedures

Costumes are to be returned with any and all hangers, bags, boxes or other items that were sent with the Rental.

Damaged or Lost Costumes

In the event of loss, theft or damage of any Costume, (normal wear and tear excluded) Customer shall be responsible for payment of the repair or replacement. Full replacement value equals 10 times the Rental price, unless otherwise specified by VBJ on the Rental Form. Damage includes but is not limited to broken zippers, detached garment pieces, make-up or other permanent stains or any other damage that renders the costume unfit for rental. Damages to costumes which cannot be reasonably repaired at the discretion of VBJ will be assessed at the replacement value of the costume. Such damages include, but are not limited to irreparable tears, major seam damage, damage from pins, or irreversible damage. If damage has occurred to a Costume, please contact VBJ.

Early/Late Open charges will apply when customers request these services.

 

Fittings may be scheduled by appointment only.

Safety Rules

Please BE AWARE of your own safety. Your presence on VBJ premises is at your own risk. Rolling ladders must be properly secured when in use. VBJ is not liable for injuries resulting from use of ladders or negligence. Ask for assistance at any time. Appropriate shoes are required at all times. NO high heels, No open toe or open back shoes, No sandals or flip flops in warehouse.
